What is an NDA (Non -disclosure agreement)?

An NDA is an agreement between you and CSE that says you will not share information that is in the forums publically outside of the forums themselves, take screen captures, pictures of the game or talk about the game’s development (subject to the specific limitations of the NDA itself) or livestream the game to share publicly without our permission (C.U.B.E. is an exception to this). You can read more about our existing privacy agreement and backer agreement here (https://store.camelotunchained.com/tandc.html) or read about it when you log into the game and agree to the EUALA.

Right now Camelot Unchained IS under NDA, read below:

Thus, NDA means

What is a EUALA?

A EUALA is an End User Access and License Agreement. This Agreement, along with the NDA limit the kind of actions you can take within our game and outside of the game itself. You must read the EUALA before playing the game!

Please understand that we take our NDA and our EUALA very seriously at this point. If you decide to violate either of these agreements, we reserve the right to take action to protect our game and our studio. This could include things such as termination of your access to our game, forums and even legal action. So, please keep this in mind.

Why are these forums for Backers only?

Access to the forums is currently only granted through the purchase of tiers in our store. As discussed below, access level to specific forums is gated through the purchase of a specific tier level

We are primarily interested in Backer feedback on the forums,(after all you are invested in our success), and we want to build the game with your participation. The forums are our testing place where we get your feedback on new ideas for mechanics and possible future plans proposed by our developers.

We want to be mindful of representing Camelot Unchained accurately with confirmed material when we release information to the public and we appreciate you respecting the NDA by keeping the forum information for backers only.

There are different sections of the forums?

Yes! Be aware you will be seeing some sections that appear to you and not to other backers depending what access level your tier grants. (example Internal Tester, Alpha) When you are posting in those sections the general forum will not be able to see your post. Keep in mind that information shared in these sections should not be shared outside of that area. Please read the the rules in the News and Announcements section of that specific forum to learn more about the restrictions.

What is the TOS?

All users of the forums must read and agree to the TOS. By using our forums you agree to abide by the terms of service as outlined within this doc. Failure to do so will result in intervention by a representative of CSE, on its behalf.

The TOS or Terms of Service has all the rules and information on how we like to run a safe, engaging, and friendly forum for our backers. The TOS can be found here

We want to be mindful of representing Camelot Unchained accurately with confirmed material when we release information to the public and we appreciate you respecting the NDA by keeping the forum information for backers only.

Why can’t I post a topic on…..?

There is a Terms of Service agreement that applies to the forum. The Camelot Unchained forums are only for the discussion of all things Camelot Unchained. This is outlined in our TOS.

If you'd like to discuss less CU join our Official Camelot Unchained Discord server at https://discord.gg/camelotunchained

Where do I start?

It’s tough to post knowledgeably on the forum without doing your research about Camelot Unchained!

Before posting please take the time to familiarize yourself with not only Camelot Unchained and City State Entertainment, but also with those topics previously covered in the forums. You can do a forum search to see if other discussions have taken place on your topic of interest.

1) Start Reading the current forum posts!

The forums are a great way to join the discussion and let us know your thoughts, as well as to see what your fellow backers think! You can also visit our current active discussions, post your fan art, and play our RPG game in the fan-fiction area. There are so many choices! https://forums.camelotunchained.com/

2) Join the Alpha/IT chat chat

On the front of the webpage or on trillian there is XMPP chat which you can join for a range of discussions. Please login with your CSE username and password. We support external connections using the XMPP (Jabber) protocol. Right now the only desktop client we recommend is Trillian for Windows (the MacOS and mobile versions don't support XMPP chat rooms). Other clients work to varying degrees, but please don't (yet) ask for support or report bugs if you're using something other than Trillian for Windows. We even have channels for C.U.B.E. and Internal testers if you are using such a chat program.

3) Read the Wiki

For publically available information about the game, we, with the support of Curse and Gamepedia, have provided a Backer sourced Wiki which can be found here. This is all our publicly released information which is constantly updated by the Community and ourselves as well. If you are interested in learning more about the game, this is the ideal source.

Store Tiers

Before you read further check the store FAQ here. Many questions not listed here can be explained right in our store.

I don’t know if I am a Founder or a Builder, what is this?

Both are terms we use to designate our wonderful backers!

If you are a Founder, you were one of the first groups of people to support the game during our Kickstarter or shortly after in April and May of 2013. Founders have their own tiers which were offered for a limited time during that period and some still appear on our store after login.

Builders are those who started supporting us anytime shortly after the close of the Kickstarter period until August 2015, and Builders also have tiers that are designated just for them. In the future, we plan to add Citizens to our ranks of players! If you are new to the forums you are probably a Builder, welcome!

What is included in my tier?

If you want to review the details of your tier you can look at the Kickstarter page which has the description for the Founder tiers during that time.

Our store has all the tiers offered currently and if you click on your specific tier it will give you more information.

You can also look at the useful tier comparison chart in the upper center of the store page to help you see a breakdown of what rewards, information, and timetables of Alpha/Beta access is tied to each tier so you know when you can access the game. You will be able to see the Founder’s tiers on this chart if you are logged in as a Founder.

If you do not know which tier you have you can login to your account in the API and check here while our duck laughs at you.

Why can’t I see all the tiers in the store?

Depending on if you are a Founder or a Builder you will have different tier options for purchase on the store. Either way you want to sign in in order to combine and upgrade your current tier. You can find this login option on the upper right bar on the page. The login information you should use is your existing CSE name and password.

On the left hand side of the store there are various filters where you can see digital/physical/and founders points as well as choose your Founder or Backer options. *Note if you are a Builder, you will only see a Builder level choices* You can choose to filter for only Alpha or Beta access level as well and also eliminate listings by price. Take a look at all our handy filters to really zero in on the perfect tier for you.

Where are the IT tiers?

Thanks for wanting to help us as an Internal Tester. This tier designation is for those who have access to the game 24/7 on our cutting edge Hatchery server to test the latest build of the game. Right now we still have several tiers available with IT access for Founders. They are “One Home with a View”, “This is Mine” “Twins Homes with a View”, “Along The Stormwatch”, “A Dragonwhale?”

If you are a Builder/Citizen looking for an IT tier those tiers are no longer available. We continue to have our Golden Ticket program where we pull players who are especially helpful and grant them IT access.

Gifting tiers 101

If you want to gift the game to a friend or transfer a tier you already own, you might be interested in gifting. We plan to implement this in the store in the future which will allow you to do so. More details to follow.

What is a Stretch Goal and how did I help with it?

SG (Stretch Goals) are designated funds for a specific extra to the game not funded on Kickstarter. You can view our previously surpassed stretch goals on our website here. Thank you for continuing to help us in this way!

Where can I download Camelot Unchained?

You can find the download for the game client under News and Announcements in either the Alpha or IT forum sections.
